OxLibTM #1: 12 July 2011

Oxford Library TeachMeet
Tuesday 12 July 2011, 7-9pm-ish
Oxford University Club, Mansfield Road

Full details and Registration on our Eventbrite page

TeachMeets are informal ‘unconference’ style events, designed to allow professionals to share information and network in a relaxed environment. The Oxford Library TeachMeet is open to everyone (you don’t have to work for the University!) and is free to attend. You can be a librarian or build databases, teach in a school or run a business – anyone with an interest in how we talk about and share information should come along!

The evening’s theme is ‘Information Communication,’ and we’re looking for speakers who can give 7-minute  or 2-minute presentations – as well as enthusiastic audience members who want to find out about new practices, meet fellow information professionals and have a good time!

There are few rules, and presenters are welcome to interpret the theme as broadly or as narrowly as they like. We only ask that you don’t try to sell anything and that you stick to your timeslot. You can use whatever style of presentation you like: Keynote, Prezi, PowerPoint, a poster, your lovely voice, show and tell…if it works for you, go for it!
